Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers scouts spotted at French Ligue 1 tie

According to a report from Mercato365 (As cited by Sport Witness), scouts from Championship pair Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers were among those in attendance of Paris Saint-Germain’s match with Dijon FCO last week.

With the January transfer window now just under two months away, clubs are starting to eye up and consider which players they want to bring in for the second half of the season, and scouts from two Championship clubs have been spotted at a league tie between French sides PSG and Dijon FCO.

European giants PSG were shocked by Dijon in the tie, with the home side coming out the 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Mounir Chouiar and Jhonder Cadiz, with French star Kylian Mbappe scoring for PSG while scouts from Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers watched on.

It is said that representatives from Premier League sides Chelsea, Sheffield United and Norwich City were also in attendance of the game, with goalscorer Chouair and Bryan Soumare said to be those that impressed during the match.

Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi is said to be interested in the possibility of bringing some young French talents to the City Ground, while Tony Mowbray of Rovers looked at the European market over the course of the summer transfer window, also bringing in German midfielder Lewis Holtby on a free transfer in the summer transfer window.

Both clubs could to be looking to do some business in the January transfer window. Forest may be to further bolster their squad to help them in the push for a promotion spot while Blackburn could look to bring in some new faces as they hope to rise up the table after their disappointing start.
