Swansea City, Bristol City and Crystal Palace eyeing swoop for Liverpool youngster

Swansea City, Bristol City and Crystal Palace are all eyeing up a swoop for Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster according to The Sun.

All three clubs along with teams from Germany are interested in a loan deal for the 19-year-old. Brewster has starred in both of Liverpool’s Carabao Cup victories over MK Dons and Arsenal but he is yet to make an appearance in the league.

The Reds are in a whole host of competitions this season and with them fighting on all fronts boss Jurgen Klopp may decide he wants to retain the youngster as they battle for all forms of silverware.

Palace believe he can compete with Jordan Ayew, Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham to add to their firepower. Benteke has been in and out of form so far this season and Wickham has suffered a lot with injuries meaning Ayew has been their main source of goals.

Swansea and Bristol City are both looking to push for promotion this season and believe that Brewster would add much needed strength in depth in forward positions.

The striker has also had long-term interest from foreign clubs since picking up the Golden Boot when England won the Under-17 World Cup for the first time in 2017.

Brewster was previously with Chelsea from the age of seven to 15 before joining Liverpool and signing a professional contract in June 2018.

With the added international experience at youth level, the Liverpool hierarchy believe that he is improving and is worthy of more regular first team football in the near future.

Brewster’s latest appearance against Arsenal clearly shows his development as a player and he could benefit from a loan deal in the second half of the campaign.
