Swansea City keen on loan move for Chelsea midfielder

Swansea City are keen on loan deal for Chelsea midfielder Kyle Scott, according to Football Insider.

The 21-year-old rejected a move to Italian Serie B side Ascoli earlier this month in favour of staying in England.

Scott wants a loan move to the Football League after spending the first half of this season on loan in the Dutch second tier with SC Telstar, where he played 14 games and scored twice.

Swansea City are looking to bring a couple of players in this month as they look to get their season back on track. Graham Potter’s side are still only six points off the Play-Offs.

Scott would offer the Swans more options and depth in the midfield and a loan move to the Championship would suit both him and Chelsea.

The Bath-born midfielder started out as a youngster at Southampton before making the switch to Chelsea in 2010. He rose through the youth ranks at Stamford Bridge and became a key player for their youth sides.

Scott has won the FA Youth Cup three times and the UEFA Youth League twice. He has also represented England at U16, Republic of Ireland at U17 and USA at both U18 and U20 level.

He made his first-team debut for Chelsea in February last year in an FA Cup home tie against Hull City. That is his only senior appearance for the Blues to date but he could further his development over the coming months with a loan move to Swansea in the pipeline.
