Real Madrid boast immense success with trophies and next month's Champions League final presents another chance for more silverware.

After their stunning comeback against Bayern Munich, they will face Borussia Dortmund in the showcase at Wembley Stadium on June 1.

Victory would bring Madrid a 15th win in the competition, but Lionel Messi fans have still found a way to trump it.

The Inter Miami star is an enemy to those in the Spanish capital owing to his time as Barcelona's main man. Since making his debut at the club in October 2004 coming on as a substitute against Espanyol, he cemented his place as the best player in the world, winning eight Ballon d'Or awards and countless team trophies and forming a rivalry with Cristiano Ronaldo.

He won LaLiga with his beloved club during his debut campaign and did so on a further nine occasions during his spell at Camp Nou, with one Barca fan account on X, posting his haul since bursting onto the scene and comparing it with other teams in Europe.

Messi also won seven Copa del Reys and seven Spanish Super Cups across the 17 seasons, with European and world success also adding to his collection.

He lifted four Champions League titles, three Super Cups and three Club World Cups with the club.

After leaving Barcelona, he won two Ligue 1 titles and a Trophee des Champions at Paris Saint-Germain, before lifting the Leagues Cup with Inter Miami last year.

All in all, Messi has won 40 team trophies, which include World Cup and Copa America triumphs, since he made his debut in 2004, an amazing record fit for a true legend of the game.

His influence is so powerful that a napkin, which sealed the legendary star's move to Barcelona that uprooted him from Argentina in 2000, was put up for sale for £300,000.

Potential bidders for the piece of football history have until 17 May to make an online offer with auctioneers Bonhams.

Whilst Messi may have more accolades to his name during such a time, Madrid can still relish in their own success over the last 20 years.

Out of the 30 trophies they have won during that time most have come in LaLiga with seven titles, which includes this season.

Three Copa del Reys and six Spanish Super Cups add to five Champions Leagues, four Super Cups and five Club World Cups.

Madrid could extend this to 31 against Dortmund next month but this would still see them sit far off Messi, who continues to prove why he is one of the most successful players of all-time.
