Gareth Southgate will be heavily reliant on Kane at Euro 2024, while Musiala has been tipped as Germany's poster boy.

And the former Tottenham star has admitted he has teased his teammate over his international allegiances, considering Musiala could have played for England having come up through Chelsea's academy.

He told ITV: "I have given him a bit of banter for choosing Germany over England, obviously he could have played for England.

"Maybe if I was here a few years earlier, I could have got my arm round his shoulder and got him for us."

England could face Germany in the last 16 at Euro 2024 if they finish second in their group and all the other results go the way of those with the higher world ranking.

The tournament is being hosted by the Germans, who have had a miserable return in recent years having failed to qualify from the group stage in the last two World Cups.

But Kane has admitted he fancies meeting Musiala this summer, along with plenty of his other Bayern teammates who play for Germany.

He added: "Jamal's great, obviously you have all the Germany internationals here and there's not been any kind of banter flying around yet, maybe in the next few weeks it will.

"But yeah, it will be interesting. Obviously, whenever you play against people you know it's a different feeling.

"If we play against Germany in the summer, I'm sure it'll be an interesting game."

Harry Kane shrugs off England teammate Jude Bellingham’s trash talking mind ahead of scoring an important penalty for Bayern Munich against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg

Kane comes into the tournament in brilliant form, though his search for a trophy still goes on with Bayern losing the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen.

The Champions League remains up for grabs, with Bayern taking on Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Wednesday after a 2-2 draw last week in the first leg of their semi-final tie.

He has scored 44 goals in as many appearances - including 36 in 32 Bundesliga matches.

The secret to his success, well apparently it is coffee.

Manager Thomas Tuchel said: "Yes, how many cappuccinos he drinks during the day. I have been very surprised.

"Every time I go in to the kitchen he is there. I have started doing it myself now. Look at him, he looks healthy and in good shape."
